We are looking for an Agency Representative for a leading logistics company in Malta, Marsa.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Agency and an Operations Manager, the successful candidate shall be responsible for general husbandry of the vessel and the crew members and in opening up the ship file and obtaining the necessary pre-arrival forms. As part of the prospective employee’s duties, one needs to keep the Owner/Charterer informed of the vessel’s occurrence and performance, obtain and organize data for Head Office team members and to ensure that the Finance Department is forwarded with a copy of the Proforma Disbursement Account.
The Agency Representative needs to follow up on damages sustained on vessel/equipment/third parties, whilst maintaining the best relationship with masters/officers of vessels (and the owners themselves). This position also entails assistance with market analysis, selling the department’s services and the organisation of all logistics services for ship-to-ship operations. Requirements:
The prospective employee must have successfully completed a post-secondary level of education and be computer literate with experience in word processing and spreadsheet. Due to the nature of the job, one must be in possession of a valid driving license. A good command of both spoken and written English would be considered an asset.
The position is on a shift basis- competitive remuneration.
